Garber also noted the presence of the Baka neighborhood's social services department, which is looking for volunteers for its local operations. "Most people don't even know something like this exists," She said.

Garber estimated that more than 60 people visited the event to give blood and learn more over the course of the night. She noted that the shul's membership has approximately 150 families, and that more than 300 people fill its halls for Shabbat prayers.
