Congregation Bnai Tikvah raises $3000 to send pizzas to the soldiers of Israel!

January 21st Congregation Bnai Tikvah had a Pizza Party for a Pizza Party. For an entrance fee of $36 per family or $18 an individual our Congregation came together as a Kehillah to raise money to send to our sister congregation in Jerusalem for their pizza program for the soldiers. Kehillat Moreshet Avraham provides pizza and soda for the IDF. Officers can call Rabbi Barry Schlessinger to request money for a pizza party for their men and KMA gladly provides them with this small bit of comfort.… Continue

Congregation Bnai Tikvah

Congregation Bnai Tikvah of Deerfield reaches out to the Hispanic Community

This month was Congregation Bnai Tikvah's first time at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Albany Park. We have started an outreach program working with them to assist their community on several levels. Through dialogue with their members, we were able to ascertain the needs of the children and adults that spend their afternoons at the church. At our next visit, we will come prepared with books for the younger children to practice reading, flash cards to help with pronunciation, and workbooks for spell… Continue
